Liver cancer can be treated in a number of ways. The treatment options as recommended by a doctor would depend on several factors like the extent of damage caused to the liver, the possible damage to the cancer-free area within the liver, the extent to which cancer has spread within the liver and outside, and the overall health of the patient.

Colon cancer in its preliminary stages is in most cases, amenable to conventional medical interventions, with patients going into remission even without chemotherapy or radiation. However, as the progression of the disease spreads beyond the colon walls and enters the adjoining tissues or lymph nodes, the treatment involved also becomes progressively less effective.
